The placement of your furniture is as significant as the selection of the furniture itself.
Today’s homes are designed with a lean toward an “open floor plan” and higher ceilings. With that as a base, placement of key pieces such as sofas, chairs & wall art work best when allowing a flow from room to room as well as continuity (designing with both rooms in mind).
In this “before” pic, the sofa acts as a wall and blocks the generous open feel the room was designed to create.
This new design allows for an open easy flow from the kitchen/ breakfast nook into the main living and entertaining space. A dark charcoal velvet sofa, two side by side matching armchairs, a large mirror, a floral accent chair, two small tables (custom DDT refinished) paired together for a trendy cocktail table with a custom DDT cocktail tray & matching ottoman, custom DDT table runner (wall art & pillows) to compliment the breakfast table & create continuity the sisal area rug pulls the Design all together!
